During the summer, carpets can get a bit worn out due to the activities that come with summer fun, such as cookouts, family visits, and school kids being home all day. When the traffic at home is higher than usual, a few tips can help you keep your carpets cleaner between professional cleanings.
Shoes Off Inside
One of the easiest ways to keep your indoor carpets looking their best is by having everyone remove their shoes when they enter the house. This will help prevent dirt and grime from getting tracked into your carpet. If you have a social gathering that's happening indoors, ask everyone to remove their shoes. It will also help keep the environment clean and comfortable.
Use Extra Rugs & Mats
When planning a gathering at home, make sure that people wearing shoes can clean their shoes when they enter the house by putting down mats or rugs. Mats can also help prevent dirt from getting on the carpets. In addition, runners in hallways are known to reduce the wear and tear of the carpets. Placing doormats at entrances also allows people to wipe their shoes off.
